刚好有一个人经常向着他父亲送给他的一个木像祈祷,

It happened that a Man had often prayed to a wooden idol he had received from his father,

dàn tā de yùn qì cóng lái méi yǒu gǎi biàn 。

但他的运气从来没有改变。

恶运都没有离开他。一天,在愤怒之下,

but still he remained as unlucky as ever. One day in the greatest rage he went to the Wooden God,

tā bǎ shén xiàng cóng shén zuò nà lǐ huī quán dǎ xià duàn chéng liǎng bàn ,

他把神像从神座那里挥拳打下断成两半,

and with one blow swept it down from its pedestal.  The idol broke in two,

jiē guǒ tā kàn dào le shén me?

结果他看到了什么?

and what did he see?

wú shù de qián bì sǎn luò yī dì 。

无数的钱币散落一地。

An immense number of coins flying all over the place.
